We have had a tremendous response to our programs in 2016 and 2017, with over 472 teachers attending our World Geography Academies. We have several more training opportunities scheduled for 2018.

June 25 - 26, 2018: Teacher Consultant Boot Camp, University of Oklahoma - Norman, OK
Teacher Consultant (TC) Boot Camp graduates who complete all requirements will be part of the OKAGE TC family. This two-day intensive training experience gives teachers who are interested in becoming OKAGE TCs the opportunity to work with some of OKAGE's most talented and accomplished TCs.

September 13, 2017: World Geography Academy I: "Media, Maps, and Technology" Breakout sessions will encompass various topics including media literacy, mapping skills, renewable energy, and geo-technologies. This WGA is open to all grade levels and will be held at the University of Oklahoma's Center for Continuing Education in Norman, OK.

Nearly 200 AP Environmental Science and AP Human Geography high school students visited OKAGE at the National Weather Center in Norman, OK for Geography Day. Throughout Geography Day, students participated in guided sessions, a poster contest, and a quiz bowl.
November 12th - 18th, 2018: Geography Awareness Week
300 students across the state submitted entries for this year's challenging Geography Awareness Week theme - The Geography of Civil Rights Movements. Winning students and their teachers each received cash prizes.
